About Chris

An accomplished performer on piano, bass, guitar and drums, Chris Moos (pronounced to rhyme with ‘rose’) was born in Philadelphia and raised in the Norristown area of Pennsylvania. He attended LaSalle High School and the Philadelphia Musical Academy (now the University of the Arts), as well as Combs College of Music. Chris has studied with Romeo Cascarino, Michael Ford, Eric Gombert, Debra Lipsi and other luminaries of Philadelphia musical life.

Having been recruited as keyboardist by the EBE Talent agency in Philadelphia, Chris spends his weekends at weddings, bar mitzvahs and private parties with the band Miami. All of EBE’s bands are named after a city across the globe.

Chris has been an integral part of Vacuum Pact, Pegasus, Jake Kaligis and the New Constitution, R.C. Forney and the Midnight Movers, the Christopher Williams Orchestra, and a host of others. He is currently musical director for the Philadelphia production of Tony & Tina’s Wedding, an off-Broadway interactive theater experience with which he has been associated since 1997.

He recently enjoyed a stint with the ’60s tribute band The Large Flowerheads, which included opening for The Tubes at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA.

In the 1990s, Chris worked as staff producer at Christian Barth’s Silicon Chip recording studios. He has been the General Music teacher at St. Rose of Lima Elementary School in North Wales, PA since 2004.
